Last year I wrote, a report sent my Mr J P Goekna ('61 Mining), and since then we have in hand all the photos, which were taken by no less than his own son-in-law Vikas Jain, that I have privilege to share with every one, who would like to see for them selves, and let us know who all are in photos.
For convenience I have added caption as serial nos, from 1 to 85 and so on for more photos, when I add etc. I know a year has since elapsed, lets see how memories of our seniors or others who attended that evening last Feb' 2011 can help me!
Hopefully all will enjoy, there memories of there meeting at ISM Feb' 2011. I believe by now many must have celebrated there 75th Birthday Anniversary with there family & friends, please shoot us your email with an update, so that we keep sharing your joys with fellow mates.
Its not very easy job, to be in communication with fellow mates with whom we all parted 50 years ago. But hard work done by 1960 batch, was starting point, and that its fruits are being enjoyed by coming batches, from where to start or what all need to be done, to get your data base ready etc. for your mates who are scattered all around the globe to make this event as nostalgic as we can all accomplish. Its never too late, and still many are not computer novice.
I wonder when 1963 batch, goes for there Goldie's meet next year (Feb' 2013), how many will be able to do so, as time is very short, only thing in there favor is electronic media which to some extent can help, and few of us who, are in communication with alumni for past 1.5 years or so, when I started connecting our college mates for Global ISM Directory, that we have sent email Id's all those who are connected with us. Its been road with lots of ups & downs, but I am still there to see we all are connected and rejoice some of your moments, which will mark HISTORY.
I am working on my next blog Golden Jubilee
Celebrations for 1960 batch, although late, but was awaiting write ups / souvenir reports, that they are now in hand that hopefully will be live in next couple of weeks, with best wishes from you and all those who are helping me in this en-devour.
God bless every one, we wish every one to have healthy and pleasant life ahead, in the midst of your grandchildren, who I believe are lot of joy, when they talk or visit your/our homes.
Cheers, until we meet next,
Arun Talwar ('71 Mining)
